Access Arrangements and Reasonable Adjustments
Please contact Mrs Edwards, SENDCO, for more information and read the JCQ document ‘Guidance for Parents, Carers and Students about Access Arrangements’. https://www.jcq.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/JCQ-Parent-guidance-information-sheet.pdf
Notices to Candidates
The Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) is a membership organisation comprising the eight largest providers of qualifications in the UK. The JCQ provides a single voice for its members on issues of examination administration and, when appropriate, qualification and wider education policy.
Candidates must read the notices to candidates prior to starting any non-examination assessments, course work, onscreen tests or sitting examinations. This information is shared with Year 10 to Year 13 students and parent/carers in September, and ahead of any exam series including internal exams.
Summer 2026
Summer 2026 – Contingency Information
The awarding bodies have collectively agreed contingency date for Summer 2026 as Wednesday 24th June 2026. Students should remain available up to and including this date, regardless of their last exam being sooner. The contingency dates are in the event of national or significant local disruption to exams in the United Kingdom, being part of the awarding bodies’ standard contingency planning for exams.
Internal Exams (Mocks)
All assessments sat under formal exam conditions may be used for Ofqual resilience processes should Summer 2026 exams not go ahead as planned and allow students to still receive valid results. They may be used in supporting the collection of evidence for performance and ability if teacher assessed grades were required. Any subsequent assessments sat under formal exam conditions may supersede previous data.
Certificate and Result Information
If you are unable to collect your results or certificates yourself, you may nominate someone to collect them on your behalf. Please email the exams officer with information on who will be collecting your results/certificates or you can complete a Third-Party Collection Form . The person collecting will need to photo ID of their own with them. Alternatively, you can have your results posted home. You will need to send a stamped-addressed envelope to school reception for the attention of the Exams Officer and they will be sent on the day of release of results.
Certificates are only required to be kept by us for a minimum of 12 months. After this time, the school can destroy any uncollected certificates. Please contact the Exams Officer to check if we still hold your certificates, if we do not, information on obtaining replacement certificates can be found here. Not all awarding bodies offer a replacement certificate service. In such circumstances the awarding body will issue a Certifying Statement of Results. Where either a replacement certificate or Certifying Statement of Results is issued, it will provide an accurate and complete record of results for all qualifications covered by the original certificate.
If we no longer hold a record of your qualifications, you should be able to access information on your personal learning record – more information can be found here.
Post-Results Services
To be updated before results day Summer 2026.
