We were excited to give all of our Year 7 and 8 students an early Christmas present. Every student was given the opportunity to choose a book from a selection of 17 fantastic book titles!
Pupils were extremely enthusiastic when the books were handed out this week! The School Librarian said that ‘Students have missed out on so much this year, it was very rewarding to be able to provide each Year 7 and 8 pupil with a book of their choice.’
Bookbuzz is a reading programme from BookTrust that aims to help schools inspire a love of reading in 11 to 13-year-olds.
Participating schools give their students the opportunity to choose their own book to take home and keep from a list of 17 titles. They are all carefully selected by a panel of experts to ensure quality, suitability and to encourage reading for pleasure
