Two talented year 9 students from Great Sankey High School have been selected to represent Great Britain at the 39th European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships. Lottie and Alex have been training tirelessly for this prestigious event, which will take place in Baku, Azerbaijan from the 15th-22nd May.
To prepare for this competition, the girls have been training six times a week, splitting their time between Lytham and Widnes. Recently, they participated in a warm-up competition at an event in Portimão, Portugal, which proved to be valuable experience ahead of the main event in Baku.
Great Sankey High School is extremely proud of Lottie and Alex, and wishes them both the best of luck as they represent Great Britain in this international event. However, the trip is unfortunately self-funded, and the girls need to raise at least £4000 to make the trip a reality.
To help them reach their fundraising goal, a GoFundMe page has been set up. Lottie's Dad stated, "I know times are hard for many of us right now, but if you are able to donate anything - big or small - every penny will count, and we'd all really appreciate it."
Great Sankey High School encourages the community to show their support for Lottie and Alex, and to donate to their GoFundMe page. Let's help these talented students represent Great Britain in the 39th European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships with pride and excellence!
