We are incredibly proud of Year 7 student Lennie, who has successfully completed his festive fundraising challenge for Warrington Youth Zone! Following on from our earlier article about his preparations, Lennie took on a Christmas-themed Triathlon Challenge on 30th November, showing remarkable dedication, determination, and festive spirit.

Lennie has a real passion for linking his fundraising efforts to the Christmas season. Last year, he ran 25 miles over 7 days to represent the days leading up to Christmas Day – and this year he went even further by taking on a full triathlon. His challenge consisted of:

250m Swim

25km Bike Ride

2.5 Mile Run

In addition to completing the triathlon, Lennie also dedicated his weekends to fundraising in the local community, visiting local shops to raise awareness and support for his challenge. His hard work and commitment paid off, as he managed to raise nearly £500 to support young people and families through the vital work carried out by Warrington Youth Zone.

His commitment and hard work are a real inspiration to everyone at Great Sankey High School. Seeing a student dedicate themselves to a cause that makes such a tangible difference to the lives of others is something we are incredibly proud of. Lennie’s determination, organisation, and festive fundraising spirit are a brilliant example of how our students continue to engage positively with the wider community.

Well done, Lennie – your efforts have made a lasting impact, and we are all very proud of you!
