As part of the 30th Anniversary commemoration of the Warrington bomb, eight Barrow Hall College students have been selected for The Tim Parry Leadership Development Programme, working with The Tim Parry and Jonathan Ball Peace Foundation and students from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

The programme is about getting young people to talk about the differences they and their communities have but also to talk about what they have in common, finding ways of connecting and working together as we know that whilst conflict exists, violence need not. Students looked at issues that are affecting their communities and reflected on the roles they can play in problem solving and affecting positive change. The programme consists of three residentials, the first of which was in Warrington where students met Colin and Wendy Parry and Sir John Major.
