We are delighted to share some truly inspiring news about one of our Year 9 students, Charlotte, who recently returned from Las Vegas after competing in the USAIGC (United States Association of Independent Gymnastics Clubs) World Championships 2025.

Charlotte has dedicated the past 10 months to a demanding qualification process, competing both in the UK and internationally to secure her place at the World Championships. After months of hard work, travel, and intense training, Charlotte earned the incredible opportunity to represent her country on the global stage.

The event took place between 21st June and 4th July, with Charlotte taking part in podium training from 27th–29th June, followed by her All-Around competition on Monday 30th June. Competing in the Silver category, Charlotte faced strong competition from gymnasts representing the USA, South Africa, Italy, and Spain.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Charlotte achieved an outstanding 2nd place overall in her category – a remarkable result at such a prestigious international competition. Her performance is a testament to her skill, determination, and unwavering commitment to her sport.

Balancing 17 hours of gymnastics training each week alongside her academic studies and social life is no small feat, but Charlotte continues to do so with discipline and maturity well beyond her years. Her journey to the World Championships has been a year-long effort, not just in terms of training, but also in the sacrifices and dedication required from both Charlotte and her family.

We were proud to support Charlotte throughout this process, and we recognise the level of dedication it takes to compete at this level while managing school responsibilities. Her success is thoroughly well deserved and a moment of real pride for our school community.

On behalf of the whole school community, congratulations, Charlotte – we are so proud of everything you have achieved and can’t wait to see what’s next in your gymnastics journey.
