Great Sankey High School Year 7 student, Lennie, is once again spreading festive cheer through his incredible dedication to charity. Despite being only 11 years old, Lennie has already raised thousands of pounds for good causes — and this December, he’s back with another inspiring challenge in support of the Warrington Youth Zone Christmas Toy Appeal.

 

The Youth Zone has now launched Lennie’s official fundraising page, where all the details of his challenge can be found.

 

A Christmas Tradition of Kindness

Each year, Lennie sets himself a festive-themed challenge to help children and families in the local community. Last Christmas, he completed an impressive 25 miles over seven days, symbolising the 25th of December. This year, he is taking on a Triathlon Challenge to continue supporting the Warrington Youth Zone.

On 30th November, Lennie will complete:

 

 250m Swim
 5.2-mile Bike Ride
 2.5-mile Run

 

All funds raised will go directly to the Warrington Youth Zone Christmas Toy Appeal, helping ensure no child wakes up without a gift on Christmas morning.

 

An Inspiration to the Community

 

Lennie’s mum, Melissa, shared previously:

 

“The support Lennie receives from everyone for each event he does is just incredible. He’s been joined by some of his rugby and football teammates for previous challenges and he’s really enjoying it. His determination to help other children keeps him going.”

 

Lennie has previously said:

 

“No child should have to wake up on Christmas Day without gifts. It makes me really happy that I can help other children in my community who aren't as lucky as me, and I love knowing that I'm making them smile on Christmas morning.”

 

A Track Record of Making a Difference

Lennie’s commitment to helping others is remarkable. In previous years he has:

  • Completed 25-mile Santa runs
  • Collected food for Warrington Food Bank
  • Run 3km a day for 30 days
  • Completed 30 sit-ups a day for 30 days
  • Cycled 48 miles to five local Rugby League stadiums
  • Climbed Mount Snowdon
  • Completed the Cancer Research Race for Life
  • Cycled 78 miles from Warrington Wolves Stadium to Leeds’ Elland Road for the Rob Burrow Centre MND Appeal

 

His incredible efforts earned him the Junior Fundraiser of the Year Award at the Warrington Guardian Inspiration Awards in March 2023.
