Festive Fun and Awards Across All Year Groups at Great Sankey High School

This week, Great Sankey High School has been buzzing with festive cheer as each year group took part in a series of Christmas assemblies full of fun, prizes, and celebration.
The week kicked off on Monday with Year 11, followed by Year 10 on Tuesday, Year 9 on Wednesday, Year 8 on Thursday, and Year 7 this morning. Each assembly provided an opportunity to celebrate student achievements and enjoy a bit of festive fun together.
During the assemblies, a wide range of awards were presented, including subject-specific awards recognising students who have stood out academically so far this year, as well as pastoral awards highlighting those who have contributed positively to the school community.
Staff got into the festive spirit, dressing up for the occasion, and each assembly had a very special visitor—Santa! This year, however, Santa added a twist, appearing in blue—possibly showing his support for Everton!
It has been a wonderful week of celebration, laughter, and festive magic. We are incredibly proud of all our students for their achievements and enthusiasm. From everyone at Great Sankey High School, we wish our students, staff, and the wider school community a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
