Outstanding Dance Success for Ashley

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the exceptional dance achievements of Ashley (Year 10), who has enjoyed a truly outstanding year of success on both national and international stages.
Over the past year, Ashley has competed as part of 0161 SWAT TEAM, performing at the prestigious World of Dance London event held at the O2 Arena. Competing in the Under 18 category against elite international crews – including teams who have appeared on America’s Got Talent – 0161 SWAT TEAM made history by becoming the first crew from the North of England to reach this stage of the competition. Their performances earned them the titles of Junior Division Champions and Crowd’s Favourite, an incredible achievement that secured qualification for the World of Dance Finals in Los Angeles in 2026.
In recognition of her leadership, dedication and talent, Ashley was announced as captain of 0161 SWAT TEAM, a role that will see her leading the team on stage at the World Finals in Los Angeles – a remarkable accomplishment at such a young age.
Ashley has also demonstrated impressive creativity and versatility beyond team performances. She recently co-choreographed her first competition piece as part of an international quad, collaborating with dancers from Hong Kong. Competing in the Mini Team category against teams of all ages, the group achieved a fantastic 5th place, showcasing Ashley’s growing choreographic skill alongside her performance ability.
More recently, Ashley competed with BEHAVE at a major UK dance competition, where the team were crowned overall champions, winning a £1,000 prize to support their upcoming trip to the world-renowned Juste Debout competition in Paris. On the same day, Ashley also achieved individual success, securing 1st place in the 14 & Under Advanced Solo category and 2nd place in the 14 & Under Advanced Duo category.
Ashley’s achievements reflect an incredible year of hard work, passion and commitment to dance. She continues to be a fantastic role model for other students, showing what can be achieved through dedication and ambition. We look forward to following her journey as she prepares for international competition in the year ahead.
Well done, Ashley – we are extremely proud of you!
