Former Students Soar in Armed Forces Careers

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of two former students, Euan and Asa Schofield (AJ), who are both embarking on exciting and highly respected careers within the Armed Forces.
Euan has recently passed his pilot medicals and secured his role as an Aircrewman within the Royal Navy’s Naval Air Fleet. After a long and patient wait for medical clearance, his journey has now firmly begun, and he is looking ahead to the next stage of his training, with Phase 2 set to begin in July. His Officer Commanding at 1330 Squadron, Royal Air Force Air Cadets, shared that he “was an outstanding Cadet at 1330 Squadron” and added that they are “immensely proud of his achievements.”
Similarly, Asa Schofield (AJ) has successfully graduated from his Phase One Basic Training at RAF Halton, completing an intensive 10-week programme. He has now progressed to RAF Cosford, where he has begun training as a Mechanical Aviation Engineer—an exciting and challenging next step in his career within the Royal Air Force. His Officer Commanding at 1330 Warrington Squadron, Royal Air Force Air Cadets, described him as “an outstanding Cadet at 1330 Warrington Squadron” and also expressed that they are “immensely proud of his achievements.”
Both Euan and AJ were excellent students during their time with us, demonstrating the dedication, attitude, and work ethic that have clearly supported them in reaching these impressive milestones. It is always incredibly rewarding to see former students thriving in their chosen pathways, particularly in careers that demand such high levels of professionalism, discipline, and personal commitment.
As a school, we hold the Armed Forces in the highest regard and are immensely proud of students who choose to pursue careers in service of their country. The courage, resilience, and sense of duty required to succeed in these roles are truly admirable, and Euan and AJ are fantastic role models for our current students.
We are especially pleased that Euan is hoping to return to support our Post-18 Week, where he will share his experiences and inspire our Year 12 students as they consider their own futures.
We congratulate both Euan and AJ on their achievements so far and wish them every success as they continue their training and careers within the Armed Forces. They are a credit to themselves, their families, and our school community.
